Our May match is open for registration.

There will be CoF's for carbine, precision, and DMR (defined as a scoped semi-auto .223 only). The matches are simultaneous, so you shoot decide which of the three classes to shoot in.

The CoF will be added to the match information page once it is completed and approved. Expect it to be heavy on movers and holdovers because of the clinic we are running the day prior.

Just mounted the Night Force on my DMR for the class and this match. Should be fun

I ordered some 77gr 5.56 from South West Ammo. I'll be zeroing at the class on Saturday. If I bring my chrono for everyone to use, do you think we could throw a couple rounds passed it?

Yes - actually part of the clinic involves having people check their zeroes and their 600Y dope. I made two series of mil and moa based zeroing targets where the grid matches up to either mil or moa:

Across a chrony shouldn't be a problem. Just get there early and set it up in front of the 100Y benches. I would like to throw a couple past it myself. ;-) We will use paper at 100Y to check zero, and we will hang a piece of steel at 600 for that.

LOL - If anyone shoots it on you, they'll be buying the fourth one.

Since I don't own one yet, and thus mooch 'n borrow shots across them... what I do is look through the bore, then make sure I can see the top straps in my scope (dialed down). On a gas gun getting the top straps in the center of the reticle is good enough usually.

It's gotta be spectacular watching a chrony disintegrate though. Gonna check youtube for that.

My neighbor works for a cardboard company. I'm trying to get movers made in 3 different colors. Should be a lot of fun and great practice. I love movers. I could shoot them all day and be happy as a clam.

Scores are up.

Congrats to everyone on some fine marksmanship today, and a great CQB CoF from our new match director Don.

Special mention goes to Annette who attended the movers clinic on 5/28 and with those new skills turned in a BLISTERING 130/150 on 200Y Pop-walks, and 120/150 on 300Y pop-ups. On the precision side Rick E (M25BeastShooter) is recognized with a perfect score of 10/10 hits on a 600Y moving target.

Thanks to everyone who came out and shot with us, especially those who drove a long way to be there.

Thanks for a great match. My first attempt at movers, and I hit some!

I also learned a bit about these types of matches and my own abilities and equipment. Every bit of learning helps.

I'm looking forward to making it to more of these matches.
