<span style="font-weight: bold">NightForce 34mm “UltraLite” Rings</span>
Nightforce is offering new 34mm “UltraLite” scope rings.
Currently there are two versions available.
· A standard profile 4 screw design Is the beginning of their 34mm offerings.
· They also offer the wider footprint 6-screw model that uses 6 screws to secure the top half of the ring. This wider version is still narrower than most other 6 screw offerings.
· These rings come in a variety of heights listed below and both version offer a streamlined design and superior clamping strength.
· No sharp contact points, Micro radiused edges
· Lean contoured profiles.
· Beta Titanium Cross bolt and jaws
· Pre-Honed and hard anodized
· The new Nightforce UltraLite rings are MADE IN THE USA.
Construction is very similar if not identical to the current UltraLite NF rings. Anyone that has shot or trained with me knows I am big fan of the UltaLite rings. These are the same style rings Nightforce includes in the box with their F1 scopes. There is one notable change when it comes to the installation specifications. The torque setting for the 4 screw rings’ cross bolt is 65 inch pounds and the 6 screw rings’ cross bolt is set to 100 inch pounds .
I immediately unboxed them and slapped them on my S&B 3-12x to show how the 6 screw versions look and fit. I requested the 1.37” height rings so the scope would clear my flat rails. The height at 1.37” is perfect for a chassis like my Ashbury SABER and clears the objective bell no problem. If you are looking to shave a little weight while still keeping your scope secure, I highly recommend the NF UltraLite rings for your 34mm main tube scopes.
