NIGHTFORCE ATACR 1-8 NEW RETICLE VS OLD RETICLE

I have just ordered a nightforce atacr 1-8 (its on backorder ) and since discovered that it has a new type of reticle. My question is, wouldnt this reticle not be as good as the old one for close shooting at 1x times ie smaller dot ?
if anyone has the new reticle could they post a photo of what it looks like at 1x with max illumination please

thanks i have seen that post but the photo for 1x is not that clear
