At 1800 yards and beyond im out of elevation have to use the retical. I recently read about a Nightforce device that attached to a scope like a sunshade that added like 50moa of elevation. I checked their website but didn't see it. Way less expensive than a Tarac. Does anyone have experience with the Nightforce? Gimic or worth it? Where to find?

Very cool. Looks like the 50moa is same price as 100. Weird. Wish it attached to the scope rather than rail as the Badger rail on my 300RUM doesn't stick out that far.

Wait....you'd spend over $1000 on a scope mount prism but not $100 on a new rail for an Eratac adjustable mount to all work?

Probably. Never heard of Eratac. Would have to research them. Bought an adjustable rail from Monstrum. Pretty much junk because no markings for repeatability.

Looks like everything from Eratac is $400 to $600. But might be easier option since I don't run a chassis. Anyone have actual experience with either the the Nightforce or Eratac?

I use the Nightforce Wedge (50moa) to stretch my 300NM (NF ATACR 5x35) to 2500 without holdovers. The young lady who won King of the 2 mile this past year had one on her 375 CT although I believe she used the 100 MOA version. Same wedge on my 338LM

I have a few of the ERA TAC mounts. They’re solid and modular like Spuhr mounts with accessories. The adjustable base works well but I don’t adjust mine willy nilly. I use it to take as much elevation out of the optic as needed, which is usually 50-60MOA, so I can use the full internal elevation range.
