Is the NX8 glass the same as ATACR Glass ?

No. The ATACR is much better. Especially the 7-35. Hence the price difference.

I asked a rep this very question. He said same glass, the ATACR is ED in every place it can be vs NX8 is ED in two spots. I had a ATACR and now a NX8. ATACR glass is clearer but the NX8 is no slouch. NX8 parallax is a litttle touchy but I got use to it pretty quick. No issues with eye box here.
