Rifle Scopes NightForce NXS 3.5-15x56 review ?

What are your thoughts on this scope?

This particular model I’m looking at doesn’t have Zero Stop or high speed turrets. It is illuminated, Second Focal Plane, MOA, and has the NP-R2 reticle.

What’s the value on this?

I don't have much to say, but I can say that Eurooptic is running a NF sale and selling 'em all for demo and dealer pricing. That was one I was looking at. You ought to go check that site out before buying unless you have a good deal tracked down on a used one.

I had that same scope (maybe a different reticle) s few years back. Very good scope. It doesn't have the goodies more modern scopes have but it was a significant step up from the first gen Vortex Viper PST 6-24 that it replaced.

If you don't mind the lack of zero stop and SFP, I think it will serve you well.

I still have 2 5.5-22 nxs, on rifles along with new “better” scopes on others.
Never missed because of my 10 year old nxs.
Tough as nails, glass is still very good

Gets the job done just fine.

The nxs line will always be the the gold standard for durability. The original NXS’s are as close to a “Works no matter what” optic that we’ve seen until this point. (Except maybe ACOG or anything that says aim point on it)

The SFP 3-15 is a phenomenal optic. Point and shoot under 15x. If you need subtensions 15x usually isn’t too badly affected by mirage.

I have a 5/22/56 with NPR2 ret. it’s is an older model as you described. It was my first NXS. It’s great match for my FN 308. Paid 1100.00 from another hide member.

I recently purchased an 3/15/50 NXS with all the goods ZS HS turrets etc with MOAR ret. it’s great as well. Paid 1250 off another site.

I think you will be happy with an NXS!!!
