Rifle Scopes Nightforce & Spuhr Mount Torque?

I have a 4-16 atacr nightforce and a spuhr mount, i believe SP-4002, i am planning on mounting on a LMT MWS.

I understand the cross bolts are 45in/lbs. What is the best ring torque? I understand that nightforce recommends 25in/lbs in their unimounts but i was going to do 20in/lbs in the Spuhr mount.

Is 20in/lbs enough for this Spuhr mount and optic considering the platform it is going to be used on, the optic weight and the recoil. Don't want it to move in the mount or the ring screws to loosen and don't want to over torque. Thanks in advanced.

I do 20 with spuhr and all my scopes. Works great never had issues.

• Ring Screws: 25 in/lbs
• Base Screws: 45 in/lbs
• Accessory Screws: 25 in/lbs

Fit it sticks has the tourque specs for most things.

I guess Spuhr got tired of scopes sliding around at 15 in-lb.

I have four different rifles with four different SPUHR mounts and I do 20 inch pounds on the rings never had a problem.
