Lord I hate to do this but...
I'm looking to replace some Weaver Grand Slam scopes (6-20X40 Varmint dot )Used for varmint and target out to 1K eventually.
The eyes are getting older and I just can't read the turrets as well as I used to . So, I'm looking to replace them with a scope with target turrets ( more visible markings ) in the same magnification range . I'm real happy with the performance of the Grand Slams and am thinking the Super Slam would be a natural fit.
However, I hear a lot of good things about the Nikon Monarchs .
Has anybody had experiance with both the Nikon and the Weaver or just the Weaver Super Slam or have alternate suggestions in the same price range.
