Rifle Scopes Nikon Monarch X 2.5-10

Are the Nikon Monarch X scopes worth mounting? I've recently ran across a lightly used Monarch X that is roughly half the price it would be new. They normally retail around 1200-1300 and I've found one for 600. Is this just a really good deal or do they not retain their value?

I have the 4-16x50 and love it. Tracks well and great glass. Thats a good price as well. The turrets are easy to read and have positive clicks.

Yeah its a real nice and solid looking scope. Only knock I have against it is no illumination but I don't have to have it.
