I have a Nikon Buckmaster on a .30-06, so I can tell this is similar, just next tier down. Still better than Redfield/Tasco/etc.!

Im definitely interested and just want it as nikon I know is pretty well respected for the time it was around

For me, any .308-based cartridge or similar.

Magnums would need something sturdier for long-term tracking - if you shoot at regular intervals. My opinion only.

For its purpose, it's been a good bench scope for quick range trips with a new rifle. Hunting would be a good purpose.
Bench rest shooting 7-08 at comps may test its limits.
