I was browsing the web and found this scope on sale for ~$165.00 and thought it might be a good deal for me. Anyone have any experience with this scope?
Was planning on a SS 10x but this is about half the $ while on sale. In your opinion is the cost difference worth it for a bolt gun in 223 or 308

Preciate any thought/ideas

No experience with that model. I have a few prostaffs and they are a good hunting scope with good glass for the $. This one wont be built as good as the SS10x and I am sure wont have the elevation travel needed for longs range.

Nikon's website shows 60moa of elevation on that scope. Prostaff glass is pretty good, especially for the money. Nice backup scope. I have two Nikon Buckmaster's as backup scopes and they are very good.

I have a prostaff 3-9x40 with nikoplex reticle that I was using on my AR. Can I use this on the sps tactical that I just bought until I save up for better glass?

Truth, YOu can absolutely use your Nikon ProStaff 3-9 on your AR.
If you do decide to swap it out you might like Nikon's M-223 line of scopes as well as our M-223 AR mount.
I have become a big fan of the M-223 line, work great on AR style weapons as well as bolt action .223's.

Well I am buying one in the morning not that my opinion matters. I will put it on something i have couple of buckmasters on hunting rifles and there great. I am average long distance shooter so this will do just fine for me. With 60MOA i dont believe i could go wrong. Especially for 165.00
