We will be holding our first two man teams "Sniper shoot" on the 24th of this month.
No open sights will be used for this match. All rifles used will be "as issued" with the proper scopes.
Since we normally use open sights for all of our matches,training will be provided on how to use the scope on the rifles you choose. The club will provide sniper rifles for the members to use.
Members are to contact me or Ron for which rifle you would like to use. Members are to provide their own ammo for this shoot.Factory or surplus ammo is to be used in the borrowed rifles only.
The course of fire will be 10 rounds fired in five minutes at a 24" gong set to 600 yards.Shooters will be allowed to use sighters to zero their scopes on a spare target. Each two man team will fire for a team score.
I'm hoping the weather will be typical for January and we will need to dope the wind gust.
All firing will be done from the prone. No rear rest will be allowed. Any front rest or issue bi-pods will be allowed.

We got a bit of good news this past Sunday that the work on the 1,000 range has started. When we have more details we will pass the info onto the members.
