Seems like a lot of .gov contractors enjoy flipping the bird to the “civilian” consumer.Interesting business model?
I'm sure some companies will be more than happy to fill the vaccum.

Wasn’t Trijicon supposed to restart the bae oasys line? They only have BAE as a competitor, and FLIR had better software....
I mean this as manufacturers of sensors....

Hope they go broke when the gov contracts die down and lean times come.
This will end up being good for the consumer, a void in the market will lead to new products from new companies that will offer a fresh take on the application of the technology.
?? I never said they did.I hardly doubt Flir makes most of its money from civilian weapon sights. In the civilian market I'm sure they make more money from thermal imaging cameras for industry.

Maybe I’m mis remembering
Bae.Aren’t those systems using BAE or FLIR cores?
Like all the others, will it give a false positive if you have been painting or the paint was just applied in the A/O your scanning? My FIL was international sales for FLIR. This was a new product sample he received via Fed Ex one day while we were visiting.![]()
Unlike civilian market where we count our $$ , gov spending is not quite so cost conscious , but we can wish them to go way of Colt.?? I never said they did.
All these companies liked the civilian money until the bs WOT kicked into high gear and .mil and every Mayberry PD were getting big grants for new toys.
