Yeah I didn't catch that until after I posted it...

Re: No more PT?

I thought it was real too until I read the part about the JAG officer talking about how important drawing penises on recruits was. lol

Re: No more PT?

Haha yeah the end of the article kinda screams satire. I don't know why I didn't catch it the first time. I guess I was still trying to comprehend the nonsense I had just read before that part lol

Re: No more PT?

Though I did laugh at this article from the same site:

For the fourth year in a row, the Chevy Camaro has been named the official car of junior-enlisted personnel – narrowly edging out the Ford Mustang.

After an extensive poll conducted by Road & Track magazine, the Camaro was found to be most popular amongst new Privates and career Specialists, placing the Camaro narrowly ahead of the Mustang, and winning this prestigious title.

SMA Shandler spoke during the official announcement ceremony hosted by Road & Track magazine editor in chief, Larry Webster, and offered his own take on the award, “I remember when I was a young Private, barely out of basic the first thing I did was land myself behind the wheel of a brand new 1982 Camaro Z28 – that car had a bitching 5.0 Liter 305 in it that would make the ladies purr… Man, I used to pull so much tail with that car…”

Incidentally, the Camaro was also named the number one reason why E-3s and below never have any money.

Re: No more PT?

There wee so many regs against what we called 'smoke sessions' or as you all know them by now, individual PT. A good NCO could smoke a Soldier until HE sweated. Now it's just as easy because all ya have to do is grab three or four dirtbags and engage in a short PT session to assist them in stamina building. Smoking Lamp is LIT!
