Non-LMT BCG in LMT MRP-L?

I just want to know if there is anything proprietary about LMT 5.56 MRP uppers? I was doing to run an LMT enhanced BCG and pay the GB premium but with other options like the surefire and CMC I was considering other options. I plan to build an mk12'ish build, 18" w/ rifle gas barrel if that matters with the feedback. Thanks.

You can use a mil-spec AR BCG; actually their complete uppers come with a standard pattern bcg and not their enhanced one. The barrel extension is unique to their upper for retention in the monolithic upper, but not as far as locking for the bolt head.

Even the enhanced bolt head matches standard AR15 and M4 extensions as well as LMT extensions. Those are made for short barrels, mostly.

I have the OBC and its excellent in a mk12. No messing with gas systems.
