reading about thermography etc., I see that to get a proper temp reading you need to enter in emissivity and the reflected temperature, and there is this whole procedure to do that, if you are using thermal imaging to accurately measure temps of various things. But in rifle scopes, we just want contrast between target and surroundings, enough so that we can authenticate that that is the target we want to fire on.
Do these riflescopes attempt to measure temps at all, and if so, is there controls to enter in temp range, emissivity, Trefl, etc... ?Or we just don't care since we're out hunting at night and just care to see the target in good contrast?
