Im pretty sure it was designed for .308 Win (and similar velocities). I don’t have an exact answer to your question. If you’re thinking 300 BLK, I’d recommend a different bullet.

More thinking of long distance hunting with 308

I've been shooting the 170's and recently picked up a good amount, for close range 250 yards and in i would say good to go, however i've found that their weight consistency is not great. I found out of 400 heads a range of 168.8 to 170.5 with 50% being right at 169.1. Hope this helps.
