Re: North Carolina members

I'm in S.C. and would like to know too. Oak ridge tenn is the closest best thing I know of. We used to shoot at the rod and gun club range at fort hood. You can't shoot on base?

Re: North Carolina members

I know there is a Trap/Skeet range on base but I dont know about using the rifle ranges for personal time. I just got my offical orders today so Im still researching the area. I found the website for the Rod and Gun club there but it doesnt say anything about recreational shooting.

Re: North Carolina members

Unfortunately, there is no recreational fire aboard Camp Lejuene other than Trap/Skeet.

What kind of shooting are you looking to do?

Flatwoods is a local range about 10 minutes outside of the Piney Green gate. You can only fire out to 200 yards but it's close to my house so I spend quite a bit of time out there.

If you compete there are some great places within a two hour drive, especially long range/F-Class:

This club is on base, I've shot several matches with them:

Re: North Carolina members

Wow. A good number of clubs. Looks like I need to build a OCMP upper and get back into High Power. Thanks for all the links man. Looks like I can shoot most every discipline there is out there. Im still gonna have to find a Precision Tactical match place out there though.

Re: North Carolina members

There are several precision tactical matches shot in the area. Check the thread here on the hide about tactical matches and you will find them.
