NOSLER 6.5 CREED Brass!

Nosler brass is always more expensive. They weight sort, chamfer, inspect more carefully and deburr so it is basically ready to reload right out of the box. I have had good luck with Nosler brass in 260 (before Lapua started making it) and expect the same from their 6.5CM brass when it appears.

It would be interesting to know if the brass in Nosler brass is higher quality than the Hornaday brass or if it will last longer. The issue with the Hornaday brass will probably be loose primer pockets. My thrice fired are looser than new, but still OK. I figure I can get at least 10 firings out of the Hornaday brass, especially if I anneal every other firing. Some of my Lapua 308 brass has 15 firings and is still going strong. How does Nosler compare to Lapua quality?

ive really had nothing but great results with hornady brass for my creedmoor. i see absolutely no reason to spend twice money on brass that would yield me probably no better results then i already get and would make me cringe like hell when i loose pieces at a sniper match. that said, im glad more options may be coming. thats good!

It's just good to see some other mfg on board. When I was looking into various 6.5 calibers and got interested in 65creedmoor, I read many articles of writers going on about how this is a Hornady pet cartridge and thus would be doomed to an early death because the .260 Remy would eclipse the creedmoor in availability and reloading support. I don't know much about reloading but I do know the cartridge for me has been very forgiving on my reloading bench and at the range.

Nosler has yet to deliver brass that they annouced last year. I would also caution that the supply will be hit and miss, not like there will be year round supply.
So if and when it hits the market you better buy what you can. It was 10 mo between runs of 280AI brass.

I have good supply of 6.5CM brass and a few boxes of factory AMax ammo. I feed two guns, one an APA on a Badger M2008 and the other a TC Icon Precision Hunter that I screwed into a XLR chassis. It is a fun gun. Lighter than the APA by a bunch and shoots under 1/2 MOA with factory 140 AMax. I am one who really would like to see this round become more accepted by manufacturers. The Icon I have is out of production (not just the 6.5CM) but I know Ruger and Savage are shipping guns in the caliber.
