Problem: eye alignment and cheek weld

Solution: Karsten or make my own

Rifle CZ 455 17hmr/ .22lr switch barrel

Materials: 1/4" steel rod, 10x32 hex head screws, 7/8" long nut(sorry did not get the exact name but the 1/4" rod goes through it perfectly)

1. draw out desired cheek piece

2. Make a jig to hole stock square, we used the bottom metal and screwed the stock to a 2x4

3. locate and drill 1/4" holes

4. Added a 2x6 to the jig to aid in cutting on the band saw

5. drilled out hole to .02" less than anchors and set anchors in to butt stock, we set them just below the surface of the stock

6. locate and drill hole in the left side of the stock for installing the set screws then tapped anchors 10x32 for the hex heads

7. Cut and installed 1/4 steel rod into cheek piece

8. Installed check piece and set to desired height

No I left them open in case water gets in side it can drain and but I never really thought about.

In the first picture you can see the hex nut, I chose that because it had a thicker wall over some tubing I looked at. The main reason was because the threading for the set screws

I didn't, but I am going to use satin poly-wipe and run some up the holes in the bottom holes as well
