I was thinking on changing my Manners stock with seekins bottom metal to Terry cross sentinel. However I want to keep my OAL were it is in the seekins mags. I ask about moding my tac 30 for the Alpha mags and Jerry said it would void my warranty. I understand his position but was curious if any of the gunsmiths here were doing that on stock remington or other receivers. I respect Jerry's opinion but there is a difference between don't do it because of the warranty and don't do because its dangerous. Any input from the gunsmiths here would be appreciated. Is it dangerous or is it just a warranty issue?

Thanks Treebasher thats a big NO then. I really dont see how milling the mag front would stop the bullet tip from hanging up under the feed ramp. Which is what I perceive is the problem. Maybe I just haven't thought about it enough.

It depends on what kind of notch you make. If you make a small round notch in the center of the feed ramp just to clear bullet tips thats one thing. If you make a huge cut all the way across that clears your entire mag then thats another. Have someone send you a picture of a surgeon action.
