Nothing to see here, move along, move along... Yap is sinking. Polar bears suffering...

Without factoring anything I've heard or read anywhere...
When I first started hunting you could shoot a deer the first day of season, hang it in the barn (would freeze) and take care of it after season was over.
The last ten/fifteen years the thing would be full of maggots by then.

Im concerned about the eskimos and dwellers of the polar circle getting hunted down and killed by those big white beasts.

Human predation by polar bears is a real concern up there.

So is that because over the last 30-40 years I can see with my own eyes how much better we have done with the environment.

The stupid Italian crying Indian was a real thing once upon a time and that doesnt really exist in the US anymore.

Weather maybe getting warmer but is it because of man or more specifically as Al Gore would have you believe the United States particularly.

China and India have more to do cleaning up their processes and for that exact reason we should refuse to buy their products (or impose tarrifs) until they meet the restrictions our business must or pay the added tax so buying from our clean businesses is price competitive.

I still think, even doing that, the great ball of fire known as the sun has infinetly more to do than our shitting where we eat.

Control the sun and you control "climate change".

There were 5,000 bears in 1970 and now there are 26,000. Mostpopulations are growing. This is obvious global warming politics." "Jay Merr: The global population of polar bears is 22,000, about double what it was just four decades ago.Jul 23, 2008
Society of Environmental Journalists: SEJournal excerpts

They can cry on late night infomercials all they want, begging for money to save the bears. "Global warming is destroying the ice the bears need to hunt and feed."

The world is full of easily duped people. Because it is such an emotional issue, you would be shocked at some of the people who buy into it even when presented with damning facts. "Well protecting our environment is always a good thing, so technically it doesn't matter whether man made climate change is real or not. We are still protecting the earth."

It's a religion. Plain and simple.

I don’t think we have been monitoring the climate long enough to come to any conclusions, think we started doing that around the Industrial Age. In the big scheme of things 100 years or so is nothing but a blip on the history of the earth. The earth has constantly been going through periods of warming and cooling. With that said I am not gonna go out and see how much carbon I can release into the atmosphere but I am not buying into the global warming debate either. If we really are messing with the environment then I am gonna agree with what George Carlin said, Earth is not going anywhere, we are?

If anyone here thinks the earth as a system is "healthier" now than 100 years ago I got some facts for you. I have no idea about climate change, because honestly what's in the ground and the water is a million times scarier. I'll tell you right now we've had such a party in the last 100 years that your grandchildren's grandchildren won't be done cleaning it up, neurological birth defects and all.

Hmmm...healthier? Las t time I checked, all those elements being spewed about the planet...came from the planet. And the vast majority of them have been spewing for several hundred thousand millennia. Seems a lot like saying, well, the fat that was on my ass is now on my belly, voila...I'm suddenly unhealthier.

Look at the recent wildfires. All the carbon emissions that have been prevented by "green" energy in the past 10 years was just put back into the environment by a fucking wild fire.

Well, not the developing world.... The West has seriously cleaned up its act (except FUSSR...).

But the rest of the place... Yeah. It's a mess. And there are going to be repercussions.

That, however, is not climate change!

The funny thing is that if it's moved from a socialist argument (wealth redistribution) to a more capitalist argument (wasting things is wasteful... and conservation is better capitalism in the long term...) then the problems of pollution, etc. become easier to deal with... especially with up front costs.

But the 21st Century robber barons who raped the Western world during the Industrial Revolution... have been replaced with third world robber barons, who are doing the same thing. While complaining that it's our fault... and that we should destroy our economy.

Watch this.... and note how the families getting rich off this are blaming the West... "Well, we're stuck getting rich off breaking your ships? We shouldn't clean this up, America should!" Amazing to see what the Indians and the Paks are doing to the planet.

But it's still not the hoax of climate change. It IS the reality of survival in the third world... where the taxes aren't paid, the oil revenue is siphoned off to corrupt officials, the food aid gets stolen and sold, and a handful of corrupt oligarchs... get to be billionaires. And these folks are leaving a mess that will be with us for thousands of years. No denying that! And it is disgusting.

While our billionaires are vilified, the third world's are... getting richer.

Cheers,

Sirhr

Start your crusade in the countries that are decades behind in limiting their pollution output.
Pollution and "global warming/climate change" arent the same.
I'll not bullshit myself into destroying our/my economy to appease the likes that fly in private jets to Davos

Yall gon' learn today.

I never said I believed in global warming, even said "global warming" at all, or claimed to know much about climate change. I'm not going to take a side on it because I don't care to talk about the fucking weather. If you ask me, the whole thing is just something people want to argue about instead of getting nailed to the wall for the real quagmires and corruption that came along with the industrial revolution— which range from biological to economic. It's like getting shingles and bitching about chicken pox.

As far as pollution and resource mismanagement, which I did initially address, I'd like to underline the facts that the last 100 years have seen the population increase 400% accompanied by an energy use increase far above commensurate levels. The industrial revolution was brought about largely because of the steam engine, which burns coal or even timber. We've literally spent the last 100 years digging more coal than has ever been even found by man prior to 1900.

Where and why did the population increase at this rate?
Compare the output of the coal industry in your time period with the volcanic activity in same. Here's some Lern'n

Yer fukin' nuts.

The shit that was dumped out the back or factories prior to 50 years ago (going back to the mining and tanneries of the 1800s) is what's leaching into ground water and causing problems. Since the 1970s industrial discharges have been tightly controlled.

When I was a kid you couldn't eat a single fish out of the Missouri River. Not long before that there were no deer in the state.

You don't know what you are talking about AT ALL! What, is it the Joos who are polluting America?

A polar bear will eat you, a grizz might , a black ,,meh prob not..
We need to eradicate them muther fuckers so I dont have to sleep with one eye open on my adventure rides up there

I think we should leave them alone and encourage them to multiply.
They can take care of eating all the stupid earth worshipers & those that don't carry big guns & fire.

Perhaps if it was a bit more regular for the SJW idiots to get eaten on their way to the vegan shopping market we wouldn't have all these problems in our country.

I will make a correction, the population has increased (over) 400%, not 4000% as I originally stated.

As to Cheyenne, who really just wants to argue and therefore changed the subject to pollution, why don’t you go start your own thread to dominate others in? Your condescending approach to “education” is nothing more than an wordy troll to support your huge ego. We have all seen the old “I’m an expert and you’re all dolts, but I’m not really going to educate you, I’m just going to ridicule and tell you how superior I am.” approach to trolling before. It’s neither new nor particularly amusing. It certainly isn’t educational.

I'm not here to educate you, I'm just throwing off the bandwagon that thought I had a stance on climate change. "Yall gon' learn" is a reference to a meme derived from a Kevin Hart act. If anyone feels condescended to because I feel no responsibility to convince them of anything otherwise then good.

@Rthur I am deflecting because I don't want to punch down at you. To answer your question, anthropogenic (a consequence of human activity) CO2 levels are 6000% greater than volcanically released levels. In short, you are mistaken. I'm sorry.

It requires a string of logical fallicies to buy in to your bullshit. As we extract and burn fossil fuel peak oil continues to rise. As the population increases sustainability continues to outpace it. You have to look at it with more depth than a five year old.

Again, respectfully, the articles you provided have no data or information (or links to data or information) that refute any of the "climate change" arguments.

The second link you posted is just the resignation letter form Hal Lewis (one scientist) American Physical Society. In it he essentially accuses the APS of being a shill for the climate change movement, and they respond by denying it.

Again, I'm not on the global warming bandwagon but if you're looking for something to debunk the "settled science" mantra then you should provide some actual data or science.

It's time for everyone to do thier part.
I chose to help straighten out the drifting magnetic pole problem.
It can actually be measured on a yearly basis with instruments to verify our efforts are not wasted, I hate that.

Pole drift is in part due to concentrations of liquids stored on mass in some locations causing wobble, like a bad earth bc.

I empty the cans filter the contents run them through the water redistributer.

It's a small part of an effort to restabilize our earth's bc.

Saving the earth, 1 bud at a time.

It's pretty much been proven that carbon dioxide is the byproduct of warming not the inverse. The ice samples, that are not cherry picked for Al Gore personally, shows that the Earth warms and then carbon dioxide increases.

And by the by, termites produce, by far, the most amount of carbon dioxide. Period. limiting ranching wouldn't touch the rate of CO2 emitted by termites the World over. And this is all basic science that should be learned in HS science and was well known by the mid 80s if not sooner.
