RE: New Non-Rotating Flush cups
As a shooter and as a builder, I have been frustrated with slings becoming twisted and/or hard to manage because the flush cups installed on the stocks I use allow the sling loop to rotate. This causes a waste of time in training as well as competition when you have to sort out the sling twists.
I am very much a fan of the flush cup sling loop attachments and believe these hardpoints offer a “no snag” versatility to the rifle setup. I have been trying to work with manufacturers to develop a heavy duty version of the flush cup that does not allow loop rotation.
This flush cup is now a reality and I am going to mainstream them as a standard feature on the KMW-SENTINEL Combat Stocks.
Visually, the flush cups will appear just like the current ones in use. The only difference is that the internal raceway has 4 detent holes at a 90 degree spacing around the interior. Current HD Loops that are already in circulation will work with these new flush cups.
Attachment and detachment are the same as always but when inserting the loop into the cup, you may choose the attitude of the sling loop from 4 different stops that are spaced 90 degrees apart. All SENTINEL stocks will have the new hardpoints installed with the lockup orientation at 3:00, 6:00, 9:00 and 12:00 o’clock.
McMillan will not install these for me, so I will have to install these hardpoints at my shop during the rest of the stock prep. Accordingly, I can give you the choice of sticking with the original rotating hardpoints or going with the new ones at no extra cost.
**NOTE: Stocks that are close to shipping from McMillan may already have the old style FCs installed. If that is the case with one of yours, I cannot offer the option on that stock and it will ship with standard flush cups when completed.
Please respond via email with your choice and referrence your KMW Invoice number. If you have a stock on order or quote in process, you have my email address.
Thank you.
