Novak Sights Website hacked by Radical Islamists?

Re: Novak Sights Website hacked by Radical Islamists?

I don't see how that could generate any support or favor for Palestine. Nor any tolerance for supporters of that cause.

Increasing the levels of hatred, anger, indifference, and disfavor; yeah, I can see that happening.

Re: Novak Sights Website hacked by Radical Islamists?

I thought the second to last photo kinda said it all.....looks like theyre all ready to take it in the kiefer..sorry I guess thats kiester

Re: Novak Sights Website hacked by Radical Islamists?

Not surprising to see this from the people who never miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity.

Ugliness, ruthlessness and stupidity; they have it all.

Re: Novak Sights Website hacked by Radical Islamists?

In reality, there is alot of talk in computer security circles concerning the Chinese. With Google threatening to pull out due to the censoring of the search engine as well as the activity of Human Rights activists in China there has been computer attacks galore.

It was reported that the Chinese were trying to corrupt and access the G-mail accounts of known activists.

Several vulnerabilities have been exploited via JAVASCRIPT and the Adobe reader as well as the early unsupported Adobe Flash programs.Even MAC OS have been hacked.

Keep your anti-virus software updated (AVG HIGHLY recommended)and the windows firewall on. And know how to use system restore-BEFORE you get hacked too.

Whoah... let's not pull moral BS from thin air and decorate Google with it. Google had no issue with censoring the internet from the get go, none. They do it for the US and everyone else too, just less. China doesn't censor the results of searches and block sites, google does it for them, for money. They are not pro-individual and all offended by keeping the masses in line, not by a long shot. The only thing that pissed them off was that the hacking was directed at them, the great Google. China bit the hand that was feeding them. The hack makes Google's code-fu look weak which costs them dollars. Ethics, beyond honor amongst thieves is not a consideration they made.

Google would like to own you just as much as the Chinese own their citizenry. If they can't get that, facilitating for cash is good enough, for now. Give it another decade. They have as much power worldwide as most governments do by practically owning the index to the world, and their gathering of information on virtually everything we do is unescapable. They may not own you yet, but they already own your history, and are making room for your future. Have you seen their land holdings? They will be the only game in town soon.

Bugsniper, the OP questioned hacking by Radical Islam.I answered the question, not out of thin air-or as you say-pulled MORAL BS out of thin air.Try: CLICKY and CLICK HERE

I personally don't give a fuck who did it,but how it was done and how to protect my own shit from this time wasting bullshit.

Nor do I give a fuck about Google and what they own. Or about China either. There was no intent to turn this into a political or ethics discussion. There is some serious computer security shit happening as of late especially.

I just answered a fucking question. Maybe you could add some useful info to this thread. Maybe you are an IT specialist-I don't know-why bother to fill out your profile?

It wasn't some personal attack, so please chill a bit. You started off by saying"With Google threatening to pull out due to the censoring of the search engine" I'm sorry, but that is patently false, and that is what I was addressing. Attributing them with such noble behavior was in fact pulling "MORAL BS out of thin air." and there is zero factual support in your making that statement. To the horror of freedom loving techies the world over, Google entered a public agreement acknowledging their willingness to suppress the Chinese people by restricting their access to information subject to their government's whim. It was not a problem to Google then, and it is not a problem to them now.

Lest someone who doesn't know anything about how the 'net works fall into the trap of thinking Google is on the side of the angels, supports privacy, or that its corporate leadership even supports the notions this country was founded upon, I was compelled to correct you. China does not censor internet searches, they tell google what to sensor on their behalf, and google agrees to do so. The way you worded it might make someone feel like buying some Google stock to support something like standing up to Chinese oppression. That would be a sad mistake. If you bought the stock knowing you'll make bank as Google becomes a stakeholder in the operation of the planet, then there's no mistake to be made. Nobody has the "potential energy" for domination in that market like Google and they will win.

I said nothing to contraadict the seriousness of hacking, in particular by China. That is a huge problem, but also one Google is implicit in to the degree that they censor DNS lookups, filter queries of their own datastores, and hand over personal information ALL THE TIME. The fact that local and regional gov'ts are using a lot of Google infrastructure and software makes it a HUUUUGEE problem and security risk to everyone.... not to mention there is a potential conflict of interest / opening for payoffs since they work for both sides of the intelligence their servers house.

Useful info? Use a search provider that doesn't track you. There are several. If someone like China can hack googles info, that can access a lot about you just in the highly detailed logging of your life Google maintains. They don't even need to hack into the logs... just the gmail (or any mail) of the guy they can blackmail who can access them. Solution: Don't leave a big trail of information for google, or your isp, to store.

It might be useful to many to know that if you want the whole uncensored internet here in the USA, as our content is also censored, there are proxy services that marry the results of DNS lookups across the world so that all the sites blocked in the USA, or China (if they get Snipers Hide and can read this) suddenly appear on your screen. These services are usually pay services, and no I can't recommend one in particular because I only know of them and am not paying for more internet until I see more censorship than I see going on at this point. Ironically, Google does not filter out these services, at least not the ones I saw when I looked.

I figured anyone in IT would immediately understand the monkier BugSniper and laugh. It's not 'cause I'm a great shot and pick off flies at 100 yards.

I kill the computer bugs. Hence my profile says " Killing Bugs on Contract " which is a playful spin off of the familiar "Kills Bugs Dead on Contact" from tv.

Re: Novak Sights Website hacked by Radical Islamists?

BugSniper, your tone can be construed to be that of a personal attack.Patently false you say. False that it was not reported that google was to leave china:

Google: Just say NO to China, ending censorship,Due to G-Mail attack. [email:http://www.techmeme.com/100112/p68#a100112p68]http://www.techmeme.com/100112/p68#a100112p68[/email]

I don't consider Google to be "on the side of angels" et al. I'm not in IT.And I guess I wasn't clever enough to "guess" your profile.

I just posted one of MANY sites that apparently pull Moral BS out of thin air.

These latest sophisticated attacks aren't from bored techies-they are State sponsored. Period. After your tyrade concerning the internet-maybe you should be the one to chill out.
