noveske 20"

Re: noveske 20"

I don't have experience but from talking to others about it on another forum I have heard they are very accurate but VERY heavy.

I think once you get above a 16" barrel the barrels are thicker, almost like a bull barrel but not quite. Unless you just plan on wanting to shoot 900 or 1,000 alot I say go with the 16". It will do everything the 20" can do just less velocity, but still reach out to 600-800 yards.

Re: noveske 20"

Yes, I own one. I sold my 18" Noveske SPR after getting it. With my 18" I could do .75moa groups at 100, w/ this 20" I can do 0.50. I have the VLTOR mono upper build however, not this two piece upper.

I respectfully disagree with k9222. The 20" barrels have a thicker profile the entire way vs the Noveske 16". They are heavy, but I would not say VERY heavy like a bull barrel AR would be. Also, they don't have a flash suppressor so the rifle's length isn't that much longer than a 16" and it is actually shorter than my 18" SPR.

If you are looking for a long-range AR, this is the one to get. You will generate another 50fps over a 18" and 100fps over a 16", which is absolutely key for a small, low BC bullet in .224. The velocity and precision advantage of the 20" has really improved my long-range AR shooting over where I was with the 18". 15% or so less wind drag, and I can see this every time I have it out in wind at long range (600yds+).

For some info on load that I have developed for it, see this thread here: http://www.snipershide.com/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=2334672#Post2334672
