Gunsmithing NP3 Plating on a BCG

Has anyone ever sanded/polished a BCG down to send it off to get NP3 plated or something close to that?

Whats the best way of going about that.

Just go buy a JP bolt.

I had 10 bolt carriers plated with Nickel Boron Nitride a couple years ago. Sold 7 of them and have 3 left, i'd forgot about them untill I saw this post. They are stripped M16 carriers.

I've been holding onto them in hopes of finding bolts and carrier keys to finish them, thats looking less likely these days.

No reason to sand them... just send them in. They strip and coat them. I've got two I had done. Works great!
