It will be on at 6:30 tonight on Marketplace on your local NPR station. The host of the show, Kai Ryssdal is a vet, bio below, so mabey we will ge a fair shake.

Ryssdal graduated from Emory University[2] in Atlanta, Georgia, then spent eight years in the U.S. Navy, first flying from the aircraft carrier U.S.S. Theodore Roosevelt, and later as a Pentagon staff officer. Before moving to public radio, Ryssdal was a member of the U.S. Foreign Service and served in Ottawa, Canada, and Beijing, China.

I'll need to tune in. I catch Marketplace a couple times per week, and look forward to hearing Ryssdal's take on the situation.

NPR gets a bad rap for being uber-liberal, and with reasonable evidence to support that claim. However, I find their information delivery to be without equal among the other mainstream options.

I agree. They do a superb job of delivering the Party line.

To hear Jaun Williams on NPR and Fox is night and day. On Fox he plays along with O'Reilly but on NPR is totally different. I heard him on NPR a few years ago and he was all obama, which is not surprising, but he was also totally anti-gun, a bit surprising, and also a bit racist I thought. Comparing gun owners to southern rednecks and such. I was surprised but then not surprised as I listened. True colors as they say. I was pretty pissed that Fox would have an asshole like that on board but they seem to have alot of assholes on the show. Alot of liberal dipshit blabbing chicks.

It was still misleading when he stated that variants of the AR 15 were illegal. That implies that they could not be legally owned at all, rather than they were not available for legal sale unless they were manufactured before the 1994 ban.
