Guy, I view them as much of an enemy of Mine as the dems and republicans... it would be a bad meeting
It's OK, we can disagree on this one and still be buddies. I still think they have value but are just off track as related to poor leadership.
I will try to buy more ammo after I see what's available on the market. If they have a lazer gun....I'm in!

Lazer guns are going to the reality someday and I would expect the NRA would advocate for our possession of them as being truly in accordance with the intent of the Second Amendment.
Whatever agencies of the govt that are armed and could possibly be used to abuse the people the people should be armed to an equal extent.
Seeing as the mil doesnt have bump stocks I guess the NRA is right neither should I but every fucking day they should be taking someone down that wont allow me to have a machine gun.
Now Ive done it....they are going to red flag me.

I am a member of several organizations Including the NRA. I just simply wouldn’t attend the NRA convention. It holds zero interest for me.
Its about 3 hours for me. I considered going but decided not to go. Ive been in STL and Louisville and both were good times.
And for the record. I still support the NRA. I don't agree with everything they do but they are still our loudest znd best voice as gun owners. The chaos and propaganda that would ensue if the NRA would fold would certainly give the reason to wet themself for years to come.

Anti-gunners are deathly scared of the NRA, and all of their rhetoric, speeches and articles revolve around talking about how powerful, rich and evil they are. This explains a lot.
If the NRA falls, the morale boost that it will give to the statists will be astronomical. The NRA is to gun owners as the city of Vienna was to Christendom in 1595 and 1683 when the Ottoman Turks laid siege to it. If Vienna had fell, just imagine the sheer frenzy it would have driven the conquerors to steamrolling across the rest of Europe. But both times, Vienna did not fall. The Landsknechts and the Hussars that made up the thin and suffering ranks which defended the city knew that they faced certain death against one of the most powerful and disciplined military forces of the time. But instead of breaking and riding, cowering in fear back to their castles, they knew they had to hold that city or it would be over for the entire continent.

NRA and SAF for me. I have to give GOA some money when Im not participating in "Good Guys with Guns" trying to get some liberal teacher to think differently about us.
Walking around a big convention hall smelling of popcorn, jerky and processed meat (food not the attendees) doesnt attract me either.
I do think Trumpy will be on fire when speaking today even though he should be booed for bump stock, red flag and not taking cans off NFA.
Anti gunners dont fear the NRA so much, at the top they probably cross paths and share cheese plates quite frequently.
What anti gunners hate about the NRA is that they realize it is exactly the opposite of what they claim it to be.
They would have you believe it is some singular entity comprised of W LaPierre, ollie North and the ghost of C Heston.
Truth is they are fully aware the NRA is 5 million citizens (was up around 7 million when Obam was scaring the shit out of everybody) that if they ever acted in unison could either at the ballot box or cartridge box have a say and get their way.

My kid was out walking one day with his friend and friends mother.
Shortly after he saw a sticker on a car and commented to me that that represents a mass murderer....it was an NRA sticker.
That is the thinking of the uneducated willfully ignorant.
I told him I get those stickers in the mail and Im an NRA member.
Makes me consider flying an NRA sticker on my car but right now that space only gets filled with the stars and Stripes, Gadsden Flag, and USMC roundel.

Messed around with the XTR3 which I’ve been interested in. Looked good but it’s inside so not much to base it on.
The Trump group selling MAGA stuff was buried pretty much through midday. Booth was right inside the west doors to the exhibitors hall. Thought that was interesting although considering the crowd, not surprising.
Tons of AR stuff as far as exhibitors. Lots of glass also.

My wife and I interacted with the protesters, funny thing was...I don't think they even new what they were protesting. There were only about 15-20 of them and were blocking us from crossing the sidewalk. That shit doesn't work for me so I walked right into the middle and ended up talking to a guy who was calling everyone a white supremacist? I told him there were probably 30K black people in the building supporting the NRA so what would you call them. He said they were also white supremacist......I then asked him what the protest paid and he said not enough!!lol
hmmmm. There were so few I guess none made it to the west entrance.
