Night Vision NV and thermal kills...

Shot this female last night. Single howl from the fox pro brought her in.

Used my thermal rifle with Reap-IR for the first 2 @ 140 and 120 yards. After I ran out of ammo because I forgot to reload the mag from the previous night's hunt, my gun caddie past me my other rifle with PEQ15 mounted, dropped the PVS15 down, switch on the IR laser, and slayed the 3rd and final pig @ 50 yards.

Thanks, I appreciate it.
I couldn't be happier with the scope. It's perfect for how/ where I hunt. The scope started out as a 19mm, but I had it upgraded to the 35mm last year. I'm really liking it so far.

Activity: Patrol around coop. The wind degrades thermal conditions, cranked up 2 notches on the gain. Spotter deer 150yds to the South. Spotted critter in the Apple Orchard, coon or opossum, crossing foot bridge from Apple orchard towards coop. Fired from 88 yds (known distance) critter went down legs up, watched still stopped moving. Took pic. Hit was high shoulder.

Summary/Results: First kill of the "Banzai" period, where the coons and opossum come charging in. Usually runs from late Oct thru mid-Nov. I guess it started tonight.

These have all been on our ranch within the past six weeks. The one boar has an SKS next to it, but was shot with the same DDM4V7 / Pulsar Trail XQ38 as the rest. I was just not going to go into the woods at 0325 after a boar that size. However I found it 94 yards from where a single shot to the lungs hit.

Ammo used for all is the Mk 318 Mod 0.

Four of these seven died from single (well-placed) shot. One needed a couple of follow up shots, but died quickly. Unfortunately, I also had two of the boars charge me.

How's the thermal holding up on the scar? No dead pixels/ re calibrations / shutting off after shooting ?

I have never had a problem shooting it on Scar. I recall every once in while but no different if I were running on 300 blackout
I have had it for 4 yrs
