There are some very good Gen 3 NV and thermal weapons scopes out there available to the general shooting community; but limitations on use due to recoil forces on larger (i.e. 338 Lapua Magnum or higher) caliber rifles, especially on the FLIR/Thermal side of things. What has been your experience on NV and/or Thermal on such systems? Is there a way to mitigate impact of actual recoil via mounting systems that would minimize the shock imparted to the scope? If posted prior pardon the redundancy of the question. regards, Dale.
