Rifle Scopes NXS 2.5-10X42 Compact Scope ?

Would like to get some opinions on this scope from owners. It looks like it would be perfect for my Kidd 10/22.

Love it .... Little scope with big time features
-lightweight @20 oz.
-big FOV --2.5x: 44 ft 10x: 11 ft
-parallax down to 25 yds
-great illumination
-good enough glass for it's intended purposes
-NXS proven durable platform
-PTL
-massive internal elevation for a little scope--100moa
-Zerostop available

All of this at an affordable price

My only gripe would be a capped windage. I'd personally prefer locking turrets, but a capped windage would suffice.

Plenty of scope for a 10/22. NXS is great glass. We love NF. Everything they make is top notch. Good thing, too, is that your son/daughter cannot hurt it. We sell a lot of NF. We also sell Vortex and Steiner in that market.

The next comparable would be a PST or PST Gen2 or Steiner T5Xi. The T4Xi is good, but either too much magnification or too little, so not a fit. PST is a good choice, and easier on the budget for short range like a .22 cal., but you will not get the rock solid resiliency that will be beneficial for a youth shooter who will inevitable let his or her rifle fall over. Nothing to worry about with NXS.

Let me know if I can help you. We sell mostly ATACR and NX8, and NF is giving me grief about being more well rounded, so we need to boost our SHV and NXS numbers. ;)

We are still behind the rings and mounts. (off topic) NF is good, but some of the mounts have 20 MOA cant, and that doesnt work for everyone. We are picky in our rings and mounts. Lots of Geissele; Some NF; Some Badger; Spuhr is big for us, and a few odds and ends. Less and less LaRue, ADM and Bobro. Hit upon ZeroDelta. I like what they do. Anyway...

I have the NXS 2.5-10x24 and like it. The adjustable parallax on the x42 would be a needed feature to put on a 22LR.

Unless you think you need the ZeroStop, the SHV 3-10x42 could be an option. Similar configuration for $1k less.

I have an older one on my 3gun rifle. Got a great deal on it and I don't have any complaints since I bought it used at great price. It's the mil dot reticle with moa adjustments. I'd prefer mil mil SCR reticle, but at less than half the price of new, I shouldn't complain too much.

I had one of these on an MK12 clone build a few months ago, the clone correct Leupold wasnt available to me at the time. I ran across the clone correct scope and sold my little NF. I have absolutely regretted it since then. It was made in USA, had really bright glass, illumination and was really light and compact. I highly recommend it.
