My barrel measures 2.422 with my Hornady O.A.L gauge. I did it 12 times it is reel consistent at that length. It is a Criterion barrel just seemed long to me. I never did a 223 always 6.5 and 308. I measured some of my 3 gun AR'S there all shorter but this is a 22" for long range shooting. Anyone have any ideas all loading data is for shorter lengths.

You never said what the cartridge was. I'm assuming 223 Remington. If so.. doesn't sound long to me; depending on the bullet you're using.
My 223 Wylde Chambers measure 2.50" and my 223 Remington Match measures 2.52". These are with 88 ELDs.
What bullet are you using?

That’s a perfectly fine measurement OP depending on what bullet you’re using and which of their chambers you have.
But trust it, you feel it. You’re not far off from where I’m at in my wylde with a 75 eld.
As to where to load, depends on what you have but look at the book and start low and work up, it’s not going to be that different at all.
