I want to create a few ODG setups and it seems the Troy OD look pail compared to surefire and magpul. Any other recommendations for rail guards?

Get all your parts, some ODG paint and have fun painting them all the same color, just a suggestion.

This is exactly why Duracoat has several OD Green paint colors. It's not a color that is governed by MilSpec, and each company chooses it's own color as they see fit.

This was my thought. If you want colors to match up better, stick to a single mfg. Just remember, even one mfg's colors can be off to a certain degree based on when they were run, etc. I've seen FDE Magpul stuff made a couple years apart that appeared to be two completely different colors...one MUCH darker than the other.
That said, the Magpul XTM and XTM enhanced panels are nice and hold up well to hard use/abuse, but are a PITA to get off if you are needing to slap something on the rail in a hurry. The basic XT panels are easier to get on/off and are more "rubbery" than the polymer XTM panels.
Another option are the ERGO rails. They are a much closer match to the Magpul OD than the Troys which are closer to foliage than OD in my experience.
