I'm getting a Larue OBR with a Nightforce 3.5-15x50 scope. The stock is a standard A2, and I want the scope mounted as low to bore as possible. Im thinking Larue LT719 rings (.875") but am afraid that the built in 20 MOA top rail might not provide enough clearance. Does anyone have any S.A on whether my set-up is feasible (am deployed right now, buying everything online an cannot handle the items)?

Re: OBR/ultra low scope rings

nope, that will not work, with a 50mm objective the QD LT 123 (1.28 to centerline) would be right at the minimum to clear the continuous rail - even with that the fat lip on the supplied bikini cover may not clear

Re: OBR/ultra low scope rings

LT719s won't work at all. They barely allow clearance for my 32mm Nightforce, and this is a 0 MOA rail (Vltor CASV-M)

This short-coming is the reason POF rifles have relief cuts on their top rail (for larger scopes)
