Hi,
Looking at OBT, it would seem that measuring velocities at the muzzle is the correct path to take, vs. measuring velocities out of the suppressor (as it can lead to 10-20fps increases). Has anybody done OBT-based loads with a suppressor and chronograph? I'm currently thinking that it would be best to remove suppressor and measure at muzzle (well, end of muzzle device, which is about 1.5" out from muzzle) with my Magnetospeed v2 vs. measuring at end of suppressor in order to calculate velocity when using OBT. I tried searching but didn't come up with much. From reading Chris's website, attached muzzle devices have little impact on the formula, hence my leaning towards non-suppressed measure of velocity. I'm using this data to tune Quickload in order to find the closest fit to OBT numbers. I'm interested in people's actual findings. Thanks!
