If YOU don't think someone else used an ethical combination but the user likes it and it works well, keep your FUDD comments to yourself. This thread is for dissemination of information, not for a giant pissing match.

    6-8 skunks
    3-4 trash pandas
    15 or so rabbits
    6-8 prairie rattlers
    That's w/o leaving the property.
Super impressed with new Federal 22lr snake shot.
It's like the older CCI shotshells but is all brass, no plastic tip.
It will stick a snake right where it is, nothing but a few flinches and it's over.

6mm Br with Berger 105 hybrids, 2850 fps
    Killed 3 pronghorn from 360 - 490y

All pass throughs, on soft tissue was not too impressive sounding, but through the shoulder bone or others was a good quarter size hole through the animal. Did not liquify the lungs like some better expanding bullets and bigger cartridges, but none made it more that a few steps and allowed follow ups for good measure.

Large Yellow Tom Cat - My Nemesis

Bullet type: CCI Subsonic Quiet 22lr - Non Lead Copper segmented bullet

    Distance: 15y

Muzzle velocity: 710fps from Remington model 514 single shot with iron sights.

Terminal effects: Shot hit feline cranium near right eye socket. Appears to have not expended at all. Kitty is currently on life #7 having been killed once previously. I really thought this one had done him in but after a six week recovery, he recently returned sporting a patch over one eye, Arrrr. Am planning him a date with a 17 Mach2, lol.

I had a previous similar encounter with El Goto that required me to kill it about six times before a 17hmr finally did the trick. I am not a bad shot. These feral cats are just really tough. I killed on with a 17WSM that liquified the heart and both lungs from about 40y. That sucker ran for 80-90y and I really thought I had missed it until it suddenly rolled into a ball and tumbled about 10 more feet, DRT.
