Ogive and Coal

I have a 6.5 creedmoor sig sauer cross. Without using the magazine using alpha small rifle primer brass with a case length of 1.909 the ogive is 2.277 and the coal is 2.950. So it fits the rifle. Using the magazine the coal is 2.882 and it brings the ogive down to 2.208. I prefer using the magazine. Any thoughts on using a dremel to cut the magazine end so it will accommodate coal of 2.950.

I've found with any bullet a 6.5 CM will shoot loaded base to ogive from 2.205-2.220, never had an issue with it feeding from a Magpul aics. An Accurate Mag would give you plenty of room to feed either of those lengths.

I use the MDT Metal mags without the binder plate. 2.960” max cartridge overall length will fit. They have 5, 10 and 12 round mags. Great mag.
