Former USMC, about 24 years and 100lbs ago. I just purchased my first bolt gun, a cz550 American in .308. I'm going to slap a vortex HS T on it and start shooting .5 moa at 1.67483 miles immediately! Couldn't help myself on that one.
I am brand new to shooting a scope and have a metric shit ton to learn. I will be using the rifle for deer out to 300yds max and hopefully target out to 500 to 600 one day. Former rifle was an old marlin 30 30 which I love and has brought in quite a few white tail but the eyes are fading and I am having a hard time lining up the sights on any type of target. Hopefully the vortex will make my eyes feel young again.
Oh yeah, I also shoot uspsa production.
