ok i have a rem SA .308 that i built a 6.5x47 on, and have left over parts that i think are from the 1960's.
i'm cleaning out my closet, and have the stock with aluminum butt plate, bolt, 20" carbine barrel, and trigger left over. not sure what to do with it all.

i guess i'm asking if this stuff is worth the same as new rem 700 parts, or if any of this stuff is worth a little more because it's older? i'll post some pics of this stuff.
thanks a lot for any input you can provide, just harder to find out about this stuff.

Barrel ? If a carbine 20" might be worth a bit more to someone wanting/needing one.

Trigger $50+ (has old style flat knob safety lever but 2pc sear)

Bolt $150ish if bolt face is clean. Won't fit the newer actions with antibind rail unless you machine the groove in right lug.

Aluminum buttplate? Usually fetch $15-20 on GB

Re: old rem 700 .308 questions?

As Dennis mentioned above, probably $70-75 for the old two piece sear trigger with flatback serrated trigger, $150 on a good clean bolt, the stock with aluminum buttplate $50-75 depending on condition. The carbine barrel, fairly rare item, to be honest an older Rem 700 in 308 with the 20 barrel would fetch a premium price since they only made them between 62-65 I think. If someone was looking the barrel may be worth more than imagined. $10 on the base, $25 on the bottom screw rings if they are medium height folks used to like them for M401A1 builds.

Re: old rem 700 .308 questions?

thanks for the info. much appreciated.
so are you thinking barrel might go in the $100 range, or more? i just have no idea, and can't really find a lot barrels in this age range to compare to.

well i sold the trigger and base and rings for some what less than you mentioned, but i'm ok with that.

now i just need to get rid of the bolt, barrel, and stock. didn't really want this to turn into a sale thread, but if you guys want this stuff, have at it.

thanks again

Wow, been looking for one of these older style bolts for a while now. Sent you a pm for more details on the condition of it.

Thanks!
