Found this old shotshell at a job site. I did a quick search for how old it was and figured 1867-1911.
What I found interesting was the primer, any ideas how these primers worked? It looks like a rod that goes through the "flashhole" and protrudes on the inside with small holes on either side.
What ever you can tell me would be interesting!
