I am getting close to finishing my build (300 Win Mag Remington 700) and would like to get into long range shooting, I was wondering what peoples opinions were on the older Accuracy International chassis systems versus the newer AT series. I would like to get a folder in either one, if i go with the AT i plan on ordering the stock sides to make it into a thumb hole stock. Color isn't too important as that can be changed, Also would anyone know where to source one of the older folding thumb hole stock versions before they added the more cut out version, as the only one i can find is overpriced on gunbroker because it is the one people are using for mk13 mod5 builds. Finally is it worth looking around here for a used AT and save some money or just go ahead and buy one brand new if i decide to go with the AT?

I believe these are the correct AI part numbers for the older chassis if that helps at all, black LA 2.0: 3523, Green LA 2.0: 4406, FDE LA 2.0: 5925

The second picture you have isn't the AICS AT because it doesn't have flush cups; it has the older style HK hooks.

The biggest difference is the thumb hole vs pistol grip. If you put a thumbhole stock on the AICS AT the only difference I can think of would be the location and type of sling mounts and the removable mounting panels.

Probably the best folks to speak with would be EuroOptics as they carry both the:
chassis http://www.eurooptic.com/accuracy-in...l-aics-at.aspx
thumb hole upgrade http://www.eurooptic.com/accuracy-in...ock-sides.aspx
I believe they call the older model pre 2014 edition

Thanks for the idea i will give em a call and see what they have to say about them.

Alright thanks for the info i was wondering exactly what had changed with them as i couldn't spot too many differences.
