Just picked up my Omega today after ten months of waiting. Put about thirty rounds through it and noticed the gap at the endcap and the baffle stack showing. Is it about to have a weld failure?
Can you push it back down? I’m pretty sure they use some sort of adhesive to attach the outer sleeve. Might have to send it back to them to be re glued.
Call them and send it in, same thing happened to mine and i had sent it to them turn around was quick IIRC. Dunno if they truly fixed it as i can see some of the baffle stack look at the edge of the can laterally.
The way the Omega is designed it has an outer sleeve over the whole can. Nothing is exposed to the outside. As suggested they will give you 2 choices when you call... either send it in on there dime (turn around is about 2 weeks to get back) or they will send you more Rocksett. And you can do the repairs yourself.
Called Silencerco this morning and they told me it was just the core expanding and it was safe to shoot. They also said they would take it back and trim it back if I wanted. I'm going to send it back to be fixed and have them check out the welds. This isn't mine, but I was pulling the trigger when it happened.
Just wanted to update this post. Received my suppressor back today and it looks like they replaced the whole baffle stack. Two weeks from the day I shipped it out.
