Like the title says, I'm convinced that on any given day you can take a typical rifle out to shoot and it shoot fantastic. Here's my Kimber 82G #3. It's kinda beat up, lots of bolt wear and the bolt doesn't even match the receiver. But it does have a 14-16 oz trigger. This was shot with SK Rifle Match. I believe I have 8 bricks of this lot number left. I shot SK Flatnose Basic and it did ok, nothing overall like the Rifle Match.

Looking around Gunbroker and Armslist, the price for the Kimbers are 2x that of an Anchutz.
I love US made CMP rifles, but besides the cool factor, can it be accurate as an Annie and 40x?

I’d appreciate your perspective. Thank you.

No, 99% of the time my 1710, 1712 and 1813 will outshoot my Kimbers. Those Anschutz have the 54 action. I have three Exemplars with the 64 action but using a pistol scope is not really a fair comparison but I'd have to say on average even the 64 actions are more accurate than my Kimbers.

Here's examples of how the Anschutz's shoots.

The Kimber SVT is the most consistently accurate Kimber I have. I haven't shot it in a long time. I had a hard time with the trigger and inconsistent trigger pulls. That problem is fixed now.

Amazing groups And Thanks for sharing your first hand experience. You have quite the impressive paper plate chronology of rimfire shooting on this forum.... I can’t even begin to imagine how thick your paper target collection might be if you kept even just 10% of your plates.
Much respect to your skill, knowledge and willingness to share.
    Cheers

    Mr. Wolf,
Thanks for the kind words. I'm not a crazy statistical guy but I do like to keep records. I do have a large paper plate collection.
