Rifle Scopes ??? on spotting scopes

Has anyone seen or used the Vortex Skyline ED? I would like to get a spotter and am leaning to this model, is the ED glass worth the extra? I am thinking the straight model, most of my using it would be either from a window or sitting behind it using a tripod. Any suggestions would be helpful

I compared the ED version to the standard for a good half hour outside the store. Not worth the money IMO.

Ive heard that HD/ED glass is only really important for camera use when attached to a spotter, just what ive heard.

They got a SWEET deal on the standard skyline at cameralandNY.com right now.....$299 I think.

Oh yeah, I ended up getting the Nomad to save weight and space in the backpack.
