I have been running 130gr prime ammo through my 6.5 creedmoor ar-308 and its pretty rough on the brass leaving heavy ejector marks and scrapes.
Recently I had a creedmoor built on a defiance deviant and I'm trying to use the brass for this rifle and I'm getting real heavy bolt closure on these cases because of these ridges. It's also leaving heavy swipe marks on the primers. The primers were set on my rockchucker press so I know they're seated. Are these safe to fire? Or should I unload this brass and buy new? There are no other marks on the case neck or shoulder.

It may be more than the ridges, especially if your defiance is short chambered. I shoot the 130 Prime in .260 and its very accurate and repeatable. I just started to reload it and found that its pretty thin. I normally use a .292 bushing for Lapua brass, I had to order a .286 for the Prime.

If you have any Prime left, I would shoot it through the Defiance then reload that brass. Im thinking the AR is doing more than marking that brass, possible your die is not getting down far enough on the brass body.

You should not need to scrap the brass, it should shoot fine through your AR
