One Piece Scope Mounts ..What do you use?

Normally, Spuhr 4603B (NF BEAST) but recently switched one rifle over to Badger Ordnace C1 Max rings, they feel solid but light and appear to be rock solid.

The 419 one piece mount looks good, but it appears to me that you need two different torx bits, 20 and 25.


Thanks. I saw a video somewhere and it looked like they switched bits.

Same bit for all the screws. Great mount I have put 300 rounds with a 300 norma improved and not one issue.

Anyone using Eratac? I know it's a pretty niche use for ELR, and you can just get 20 MOA built in to your mount and rail, and most scopes have plenty of internal travel, but... I want my current scope (maxes at ~18 MRAD on a 20 MOA rail right now) to be able to take me out to a mile more often without having to pull my ATACR off my .22.

I've got a couple buddies that use Eratac mounts on their ELR rifles. Seems to work pretty well for them. No complaints from them.

I have a recently-acquired Tier One cantilever QD and I'm impressed. You can buy it sans QD and add it later if you so desire. Diving board option as well. Beyond that, ARC M-Brace is pure awesome and I have their new lightweight version arriving hopefully soon. I pre-ordered with a January delivery but so far, no mount. I have a few Scalarworks but no dive board, 0 MOA only, ADM's, Badgers, etc...prefer the Tier One and M-Brace for versatility. Oh and the Primary Arms PLX mount. Bad ass for the money and rock solid while being one of the lightest offerings out there.

Tier One. The precision is over the top and their QD is buttery.

Nope, the fastners are all T20. Interested to know where you saw the T25 so I can correct it.

I think I was watching too many you tube vids about one piece mounts and just got confused. I know 419 makes some great stuff. I have some 419 suppressor mounts. Great product.

When are you gonna correct the stickers on the cases? The mounts are engraved 45in-lbs.

When we cycle through the packaging. Initially when we made the mounts we set a lower number to be conservative. Over ongoing testing and abuse, the 45in-lb number gives greater security with no downside. We make rolling improvements, however small, on products constantly. It's actually typically faster (since we make our own products, and don't just farm stuff out) for us to make a change like that engraving than a packaging change (we are not a pack/print shop).

I got an Eratac and was shocked at how heavy it was when I picked up the box. I guess making it from steel explains a bit of the price.

We are talking about 45in lbs on the fasteners to the base?

That's correct, this is for the base/rail connection, NOT the caps. The caps are still listed (and will continue to be listed) at 18 in-lb, though if you use the 20 in-lb Fix-It Stick you'll not hurt anything.

10mil or 10moa rail? Doubt it's mils, that be a 36moa rail. You have a - 10moa setup in that situation assuming -20 + 10.

Well that’s what I thought. It’s an MRAD rifle and the marking on the rail say 10 mil. It didn’t register in my head so I bought a 20 moa mount to have a total of 30 moa but when zeroing at 100yds it bottomed out my scope (ZCO840) so now am thinking I fucked up . I spoke to Jeff at ZCO and he says that the scope should have not be at the bottom with 30 moa. So am starting to think yea…..its 10 mils on the rail

Currently running the following due to good deals from the PX

Hawkins = built like a tank. I like the 1/2” nuts to tighten. No worries if stripping out a mounting screw

GrayOps= on my son’s gun and high quality. Expensive of course but no complaints

ARC M-Brace- Love the one screw design. Make sure pin is centered in the hinge. Solid and easiest to mount/level scope

Area 419- Solid and expensive but probably the best looking mount out there. Also save a little space on your pic rail

I ran into too much can’t on my 8-40 trying to zero my rimfire @50yards. I had a 40MOA scope rail and 20MOA GrayOps and needed to get .2 lower for zero.

Fortunately my son had a 20 MOA scope rail and a 0 MOA Hawkins Mount so we switched and both wound up with 40 MOA total and zeroed our 8-40’s @ 50yds no problem

It’s 10 MIL. I run 0 MOA mounts on mine.
