Rifle Scopes One piece scope rings one piece base?

What is generally a good rule of thumb if you have a quick detach one piece ring set do you use a one piece base or two piece?
Does it really matter?

A one piece ring set... you mean a scope mount?

If so then it doesnt really matter aside as long as the spacing and everything lines up... which is easier when its not missing a chunk in the middle.

I assume you mean like on a bolt gun?

A one piece eliminates some possible mis alignment.

I have grown fond of 1 piece bases in all occasions. It just makes everything so much easier. Not to say 2 piece bases are bad, I just prefer 1 piece.
