One Shot

Re: One Shot

And if that computer system goes down........we have a sniper equipped with a rifle with no reticle?

Re: One Shot

Not even $7mil for funding for that project? Seems low, considering you are going to have to be doing some righteous R&D with the hardware getting it down in size, as well as the software......

There is a DoD research grant up right now for some advanced warrior stuff, wonder if it's coming out of there?

Re: One Shot

Yes they are awesome. They are going to work well on the improved M24 300 mag. Just one question... Why doesn't this scope adjust for coriolis effect?!

Re: One Shot

I'm sure the on board computer has a complicated algorithm set in place that triangulates where you are on earth and factors in CE for that specific spot. You never have to worry about crunching the numbers for it again!!!

Couple that system with Slap-Off™ and you are a force to be reckoned with.

According to the article, the computer is in the spotters scope, not the snipers scope. The computer then places a digital crosshairs into the snipers scope either through a wire or wireless system. The digital crosshair doesn't replace the snipers real crosshair, it just shows him where the shot will land. If this system goes down, the sniper still has his rifle & scope......

Atleast that's how I interpreted the article.....
