From what I've heard, the legal theory seems sound. The dollar amount seems quite high but it would have been so simple to actually get the story right instead of smear the kids that I think it is justified.

I think the trick would be to find the worst offender in the best jurisdiction for a lawsuit, focus on winning that first and then go after the deep pockets.
