I have a Borden Alpine action that Jim set up for me several years ago. I ordered it with a bolt face for the .223 family of cartridges but now my plans (wants) have changed and I am wanting to do a 6.5x284. Am I better off having the bolt face opened up or getting another bolt? This action is smooth as silk and I really don't want to switch out bolts. On the other hand, if opening up the face will degrade accuracy I may just put it back in the drawer and order another.
